Test post to try and sort out this cut issue

Apologies to those of you who actually use DW regularly for the fact that my previous (locked) post is now a massive thing you have to scroll past on your timelines. I've tried editing to insert a cut in the rich text field, and I've tried editing in the HTML field, and absolutely nothing works: whenever I try to use the cut feature, it just inserts random cuts that encompass little or none of the text I've either highlighted (when using Rich Text) or encompassed with cut tags (when using the HTML editor). I think there must just be a temporary bug because I've never seen cuts go so persistently wrong before and I'm at a loss. 

So let's do a quick test with a bit of lorem ipsum to see what happens with a simple paragraph:

I think we have to assume it was a length issue, but looking at the current list of people needing help, it seems there's a lot of weirdness still ongoing; they had to do a ton of work fast to divest from Cloudflare and perhaps that's still affecting it.
